Black Teen Entrepreneur, Once Bullied For Having “Bushy” Eyebrows, Has Turned Her Experi
Tania Speaks is the 16-year old CEO and founder of Brow Boost, an organic skin care company that makes products not just for women’s eyebrows… but also for men’s beards. Recently profiled in Forbes, she is an enthusiastic teen entrepreneur that has literally transformed her bullying experience into a booming business.
She founded her company in 2016 when she was just 15-years old. After being taunted and bullied for having bushy brows in elementary and middle school, Tania was determined to overcome the trauma and find a solution.
An overnight success
She formulated Brow Boost, an organic eyebrow gel made from natural ingredients to help tame thick brows and grow thinning brows. With zero outside funding, Speaks grew Brow Boost from an idea to a full-time business. In the first five months, the business grew by 60% and has doubled its revenue to date. Therefore, sealing her position as a professional teen entrepreneur. She has since won several business pitch competitions.

It is an acknowledgment of my hard work, passion, and fast growth.” In 2017, she launched a new product line for men called Beard Boost, an organic beard oil that helps to moisturize and grow in bald patches to connect beards. A role model for other teens
Speaks is also a scholar and was ranked in the top 5% of her high school class. She maintained a 4.0 grade point average while talking college courses to enable her to skip her junior year of high school. She will attend Hofstra University in the Fall.
